Humberside Netball Association continue to deliver their Performance Programme as part of the England Netball Pathway.
The Development Academies are a local initiative and aim to deliver a training programme that forms the first step of the Performance Pathway. 50 girls were selected for the Academies having completed coaching days in the Summer. The Development Academies are run over 10 weeks with an emphasis on generic skills and an introduction to learning to train on their own as well as within a group.
The Satellite Academies are the first step on the England Pathway. Humberside Netball are responsible for delivering these Academies. The sessions are run over 20 weeks delivered by qualified and experienced coaches. The emphasis in the Satellite Academies is again around training on their own as well as understanding, experiencing and practicing some of the different components required in a training programme. There are 2 Satellite groups running. Both are based at Newland School in Hull.
The County Academy is again run by Humberside Netball as part of the England Netball Pathway and is delivered by qualified and experienced coaches. The County Academy is run over 30 weeks and follows a training programme in line with England Netball. The programme provides the athletes with the support and skill set they need to progress to the next level in the pathway. The County Academy is based at Longcroft School in Beverley.
