Letter from your ChairDear Club/Player/Official/Coach/Manager/Parent/Carer/Stakeholder. It is over a year since I last contacted you; the start of the fifth week of lockdown and what should have been the start of the summer netball season 2020. I think it has been fair to say that it has been the most incredible year, for everybody worldwide and yet; despite the many obstacles, challenges, setbacks and uncertainty, somehow the netball players and all associated with them in Humberside have managed to return to some degree of netball normality and resume participation. This return has not happened by accident but at the same time it would be hard to pin-point one single thing that has contributed to where we are now. We are fortunate as a county and region to have players and volunteers in many capacities who have been willing to plan, organise, commit, believe, innovate, support, show up, inspire one another, take on new roles, adapt and just generally get behind the netball restart in the most positive and uplifting way to bring us to the point we are now, which feels very hopeful. |

It is time now to recognise and celebrate all the incredible work and achievements of the clubs and volunteers in Humberside Netball this past year that have made everything possible. We have been invited to join the Yorkshire Goalden Globes Awards/Leeds Rhinos event on 4th July 2021.

It almost goes without saying that everyone is a winner for doing their bit and for returning to the court. Humberside Netball is a very proud and committed county with some great clubs, teams and volunteers who all combine brilliantly to make it tick. It would be amazing to have multiple nominations put forward for this event in all categories.

- Best Lock-Down initiative by a club - the award will recognise outstanding initiatives by a netball club to engage its members. Evidence should show the creative and innovative ways used to engage its members.
- Best Lockdown Netball Volunteer - the award will recognise an individual who has delivered exceptional volunteer work in their community during lockdown
- Equality and Diversity Lockdown Role Model - the award will recognise an individual or group who has gone above and beyond in understanding and promoting equality and diversity during lockdown. The award will recognise a commitment to equality and diversity and who can demonstrate engagement with different members of the community.

England Netball updated statement – Coronavirus
In light of the government’s announcement today (16.03.2020) around Coronavirus (COVID-19), England Netball’s Health Advisory Group has reviewed the government guidance provided and has made the difficult decision to suspend netball activity across the country at all levels of the game at this time.
The health and safety of the Netball Family is our main priority and to avoid the spread of Coronavirus we will be continuing to follow the government’s advice, which is to move away from mass gatherings and for the public to avoid any unnecessary contact where possible over the coming weeks. :: Read More ::
